Read Before Installation
Safety Information
• Improper installation may result in fire, equipment damage, or personal injury.
• Always disconnect all power sources before installation
• Do not exceed the rated current of the selected busbar model
• Use cables, fuses, and connectors rated for the system current
Tools & Materials Required
• Wrench or socket set
• Appropriately sized copper cables
• Properly crimped ring terminals
• Fuse or circuit breaker (recommended)
• Safety gloves
Pre-Installation Checklist
Before installation, confirm the following:
• Battery and auxiliary power sources are disconnected
• Busbar current rating matches system requirements
• Installation area is dry and protected
• Mounting surface is solid and non-conductive
Installation Procedure
• Turn off the vehicle ignition
• Disconnect the battery negative terminal
• Disconnect any auxiliary power sources
• Never work on a live electrical system.
• Install as close as practical to the battery or power source
• Avoid exposure to water, heat, or moving components
• Ensure sufficient space for cable routing and maintenance
• Position the busbar on the mounting surface
• Secure using corrosion-resistant hardware
• Ensure the busbar is firmly mounted to withstand vibration
• Select cable sizes based on system current requirements
• Use high-quality copper conductors
• Crimp ring terminals securely using appropriate tools
• Poor cable connections may cause overheating.
• Connect the main battery cable to the busbar
• Install a fuse or circuit breaker as close to the battery as possible
• Tighten the terminal nut securely
• Connect accessory or branch circuit cables to individual terminals
• Distribute loads evenly across available terminals
• Avoid stacking excessive cables on a single terminal
• Tighten all terminal nuts evenly
• Avoid overtightening
• Verify correct polarity
• Reconnect the battery
• Power on the system
• Test all connected circuits for proper operation
Read after Installation
